Questions
Which huts can I watch?
HutAlert currently watches the 14 huts in the 10th Mountain-owned and Benedict groups shown on the operator's public availability calendar. More operators can be added without changing your account.
What counts as an opening?
We establish a baseline from the operator's public calendar and alert only when a hut-night changes from no availability to available. The source groups booked and seasonally closed nights together, so always confirm the date on its booking site.
Does HutAlert reserve the bed for me?
No. We send the heads-up; you complete the reservation directly with the hut operator. Openings are first come, first served and may disappear quickly.
How much does it cost?
HutAlert is $19 per month. It is a recurring subscription you can cancel through your account.
Will I get duplicate alerts?
No. Every hut-night transition and recipient delivery has an idempotency key. A night can alert again only after it fills and then genuinely reopens.
Is HutAlert affiliated with 10th Mountain?
No. HutAlert is an independent monitoring service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association or any hut operator.
HutAlert is an independent notification service, not a booking agent or hut operator. Availability can change at any time and an alert does not guarantee a reservation. Confirm availability, trip conditions, policies, and safety information directly with the operator before travel.
